Subject: Airport-Hotel transportation/NYE
Anyone coming into Midway or O'Hare airports for the NYE show, who needs a lift to the Days Inn (or other points downtown), can take Continental Express' shuttle. They leave every 15 minutes from the airports. $14.75 from O'Hare; catch the shuttle on the lower level/baggage claim area. From Midway, $10.75; catch the shuttle across from the Southwest ticket counter. You can reserve a ride back to the airport by calling 312-454-7800 the night before departure.
See you soon!
Cathy of the highway.
.....Or, if you want a faster ride and a *lot* cheaper, at Midway walk past the Southwest counter and over the bridge to the CTA. It will get you directly to downtown Chicago for $1.50 and leaves every 7 minutes.
At O'Hare, the "Train To City" signs will lead you to the CTA station located in the middle of the half-circle formed by the three terminal complexes.
The Days Inn isn't on a train route, but you can transfer to the Clark street bus (transfer additional $.30 when you board your first ride.) Free maps available from the booth attendant.
Both of these trains run in the middle of the respective major highways leading to the airports...and if you arrive during rush hours, the train will be whizzing at 70mph, while the busses, taxis and limos will be crawling.
90/94 to chicago loop, exit north avenue. make left, go 1.5 mi to clarke st, make left. go two blocks.
